Police Report 8/25


Riley County Police announced Monday its arrest of an Ogden woman for failure to appear. 

Bridgett Gakle (29) was picked up by police Saturday evening in the 400 block of 14th Street in Ogden. Her original offense was listed as possession of opiates, opium, or narcotic drugs. 

Gakle’s bond was set at  $5,000. 


Riley County Police filed a theft report over the weekend. 

Javier Chavez (42) of Manhattan reported that $4,000 in US currency was taken from his home by a suspect who is known to him.

 Police have not made any arrests as they continue to investigate. 


Riley County Police released information Monday regarding its arrest of a Manhattan man for probation violation. 

Derek Blea (21) of Manhattan was picked up on Saturday shortly after 10 PM while in the 1000 block of Colorado Street. 

His original offenses were listed as two counts of vehicular burglary and two counts of theft.

Blea was held at the Riley County Jail on a $5,000 bond. 


Riley County Police released information Monday regarding an arrest it made of an Olathe man for a variety of crimes including involuntary manslaughter. 

Gregory Haug Jr. (21) was arrested on Saturday at approximately 3:45 PM on a warrant for involuntary manslaughter, possession of opiates or narcotic drugs, conspiracy, and interference with law enforcement.

This warrant stems from an incident which occurred in November 2013 that was investigated by Kansas State University Police Department. 

Haug is currently confined at the Riley County Jail.
