After switching locations to the Tuttle Creek Park area, the Yard Art Classic Car Show event returned to Manhattan City Park last year, and this year’s event was held in part with the Arts in the Park celebration.
Around 100 vehicles were lined up in the park on Saturday for the 25th Annual Yard Art Classic Car Show from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Show Chairman, Dave Adams said the event was very family-friendly and featured door prizes, entertainment and trophies.
“It’s [the car show]grown quite a bit in the past couple of years. We’ve always had a good turnout for the show”, said Adams.
Cars of all shapes, sizes, colors, and years were featured at the show. KMAN spoke to car owner, Curt Herrman who had his ’99 Mustang on display. Herrman has been a guest on KMAN several times, as he is a current Manhattan Odgen USD 383 school board member.
Herrman said it’s great to be surrounded by car lovers. “I’m with other people who are willing to spend six hours detailing a motor. We’re kind of a different breed. Not everyone is willing to do that.”
