A hearing for a former Manhattan High School athlete accused of allegedly committing an aggravated robbery took place in Riley County court on Tuesday afternoon.
21-year-old Trey Campbell appeared from jail as the court set a preliminary hearing date of January 16th at 1 pm. Senior deputy county attorney Barry Disney asked the court for the mid January date due to some of those involved in the case being students who are currently out of town for the holiday season.
Campbell is accused of using a firearm to steal marijuana from a Manhattan man in July. Judge William Malcolm reduced Campbell’s bond from $50,000 to $37,500 in light of his clean record, and sustained residency in Manhattan.
