A string of daytime burglaries have hit Pottawatomie County over the past month with the most recent happening on Thursday.
The Pottawatomie County Sheriff’s office has reported that the incident occurred on Moody Road.
Detective Gerald Schmidt, with the sheriff’s office, said that a report earlier in the day, however, has brought interest to a vehicle when a woman told detectives that a man in his mid 20s stopped by asking if a person lived there and then said he had the wrong address. Upon further observation, the woman noticed the car was backed up in her driveway. The vehicle is described as a possible red or maroon 2003-2004 Chevy Mailbu.
Schmidt advises people to be on the look out and to call the sheriff’s office at 785-457-3353 if anything seems suspicious.
