15 hours after a reported armed robbery at Ray’s Apple Market at Sixth and Leavenworth Streets in downtown Manhattan, there still are no details from Riley County Police. A brief mention of the event is on the RCPD web page, saying “Police responded to an armed robbery at the Rays Apple Market at approximately 9:00 PM on the 5th of February. A press release will be issued outlining more details of this incident.”
An Armed Robbery took place at Ray’s Apple Market at 6th and Leavenworth Streets in Downtown Manhattan Wednesday night. Riley County Police Dispatch tells KMAN that the robbery occurred at around 9 p.m. No further information was released but Dispatch said no one was injured in the incident. KMAN’s Laura Monsanto reports she was told police were looking for two individuals dressed in black a short time after the robbery. Several officers responded to the scene and the surrounding area.
