Kansas State University is in mourning as it copes with the death of one of it’s own.
Kansas State officials have announced 40 year old Roy Barnett died last Friday..
Barnett attended the University of Oklahoma, earning a bachelor’s degree in 1994, a master’s degree in 1997 and a doctorate in 2001 in sociology with a specialty in criminology. His mother and three siblings live in Oklahoma.
Barnett joined the Kansas State University department of sociology, anthropology and social work in 2001 as a temporary instructor.
