The Blue Valley Memorial United Methodist Church, 835 Church Avenue, will behaving a Harvester’s Food Drop on Friday, June 9th from 4:30 to 5:30 pm.
The Arts in the Park free summer concert on Friday, June 9th, will be Billy McGuigan, energetic rock and jazz musician. The concert starts at 8:00 pm at the Larry Novell Band Shell in City Park.
Paxico Sacred Heart Parish will have a Chicken Dinner on Sunday, June 11th from 12:00 to 3:30 pm with Buffet Style Serving. Mass will be at 10:30 am. They will also have Bingo/Games/Raffles and a Silent Auction at the dinner. Adults – $10.00; Ages 5 thru 12 – $4.00 and Ages 4 and under – FREE. This event will be held at the Parish Hall located 1 1/2 miles north of Paxico.
The Manhattan Municipal Band will present its weekly concert Tuesday, June 13th at the City Park’s Larry Norvell Band Shell at 7:30 pm. Xylophone soloist Jack Donovan will perform “Xylophonia” and will be joined by Brandon Adams and Jay Koupal for “Serenade for a Picket Fence”. A concert highlight will be the combined performance of the Municipal Band and the 200+ students attending the KSU Summer Music Camp. The combined groups will perform “A+ March” and “Ode To Joy”. The weekly concerts are free and open to the public.

The Manhattan Municipal Band conducted by Dr. Frank Tracz will present its weekly concert Tuesday, June 20th at City Park’s Larry Norvell Band Shell at 7:30 pm. The concert will include movie themes from “James Bond”, “Star Wars”, and “Star Trek”. Also featured will be horn soloist Chris Miertschin performing “Stardust”. The weekly concerts are free and open to the public.
