A reception will precede the event at 5:30 pm at the university’s Marianna Kistler Beach Museum of Art. Both events are free and open to the public.
The Riley County Humane Society will host the annual Spay-ghetti and No Balls Dinner on Sun., Sept. 7, from 3 – 8 p.m. at Pottorf Hall in Cico Park.
The event will feature an all-you-can-eat Italian dinner sponsored by Olive Garden. Dinner will include spaghetti, meatballs, vegetarian meatballs, salad and bread sticks. Your all-you-can-eat plate ticket can be purchased at the door for $10, kids 10 and under for $5. Also at this year’s event will be a micro-chip, rabies vaccine and nail trimming clinic. Prices for the clinic are: micro-chip – $30, rabies vaccine $12 and nail trims $8.
“The Spay-ghetti and No Balls dinner is a fun opportunity for Riley County Humane Society and the community to come together to spread awareness about the importance of spaying and neutering your pets,” said Felicia Benedetto, RCHS Fundraising Coordinator. “One the biggest goals at RCHS is to reduce the amount of unwanted litters of puppies and kittens born each year, and this can be accomplished by ensuring every pet is spayed or neutered.”
All proceeds from the event will go directly toward RCHS’s initiative to help spay and neuter pets in and around Riley County, Kansas.
The dinner show will begin at 5:30pm and will be catered by Cox Brothers. Tickets for the dinner show are $65. Tickets for just the early show and no dinner are $30 and doors open at 6:30pm. Late show tickets are $30 and doors open at 9:30pm with the show starting at 10pm.
