K-State freshman kicker Jack Cantele blasted all four of his field goal attempts thru the uprights including the 41-yard game winner with three seconds left for a 33-31 victory over TCU on Saturday. The Big 12 conference rewarded Cantele by naming him its co-special teams player of the week. The sophomore also connected on attempts of 31, 34 and 23 yards.
The kick was K-State’s first last-second game-winner since 1980, when Jim Johnson kicked a 17-yard field goal with one second remaining to give the Wildcats a 17-14 victory over Colorado in the season finale.
