The completion date for the Justice Center in Pottawatomie County has been pushed back again.
Due to change orders and request for more time, the completion of the center is now looking to be done the third week in July, with the total move being done by August.
Though, according to Trisha Brooke-Fruendt, Construction Manager for SMH Consultants, things continue to be completed on site.
The commission did approve a few change orders, but others were tabled until either more information could be gathered or discussion with other individuals could be had.
Other items on the agenda included monthly reports from Dustin Trego, Management Assistant of Operations, who talked about the ridership that occurred in April. There were a total of 246 riders and 867 total trips made, Lois Schlegel, County Appraiser, who mentioned April was a bit higher than the last few years with a total of 60 sales, and Sherri Schuck, County Attorney, and Andrea Karnes, Office Manger, talked Stampede.
September 5 and 6 have been set aside for those who receive tickets during the event to get them taken care of.
Karnes explained this timing gives their office a chance to get ready and to get all the paper work in order for individuals.
Schuck added those who are arrested though will still be following the normal procedure of bonding out and a trial.
The commission will not meet until Monday, June 3 due to Memorial day.
