Shane Conlon is joining teammate Ross Kivett in returning to school after being taken in this month’s MLB draft. Conlon announced his decision on twitter late last night.
@Condor__15 Real excited to be a cat next year, great things to come! #unfinishedbusiness
Conlon, a redshirt Sophomore, was a first team All-Big 12 selection last year and helped lead K-State to it’s first ever Super Regional. Conlon hit .341 with 28 RBI’s and a team-high seven home runs in 2013. He was drafted in the 21st round by the Kansas City Royals.
Junior Jared King is the only of the three Wildcat draftees to turn pro. He announced his decision to sign with the New York Mets, who drafted him in the fifth round, earlier this week.
