Manhattan High’s AJ Epperson signed a letter of intent to play college baseball with Independence Community College Tuesday at MHS.
The Tribe infielder has battled back from two knee surgeries during his career to get back on the field. He missed parts of his sophomore and junior seasons but has come back as one of four seniors on the 2015 varsity team.
Epperson also considered Barton County Community College and Cloud County Community College but chose Independence in part because they were the first school to show interest. He will continue to play in the infield and may also pitch with the Pirates.
