The Kansas State outdoor track and field team will have a chance to make a little bit of history this weekend at the Big 12 championships.
Senior high jumper Erik Kynard has a chance to become the first man to win three big 12 outdoor titles in the high jump. Kynard’s mark of 7-8 leads the big 12 high jump field by seven inches. Also looking to do big things this weekend is Kyle Wait (pole vault) and Carlos Rodriguez (200) who both have posted top marks in the conference. Also, Martina Tresch has the big 12’s top time in the 3,000 meter steeplechase for the wildcat women.
The competition will be getting underway today (friday) and will run thru sunday in Waco.
