ATLANTA (AP) The Atlanta Hawks, looking for help at small forward, have signed former K-State standout Cartier Martin, who played with the Washington Wizards the last three seasons.
The 6-foot-7 Martin played in 41 games, including three starts, with Washington last season. He averaged 6.6 points and 2.4 rebounds.
Martin also has played with Charlotte and Golden State in his five-year career. He has played professionally in China, Turkey, Italy and in the NBA Development League.
Martin could contend for playing time with DeMarre Carroll, James Johnson, Kyle Korver and others.
