Robert Streb was so close to a PGA Championship over the weekend in Springfield, New Jersey. He was tied for the lead after day two. Due to a rain delay, Streb had to play two rounds yesterday. Had a rough third round, falling back to 7th place after a 2-over 72. Then finished with a 1-under 69 round four to finish tied for 7th with Henrik Stenson and Martin Kaymer.
Jimmy Walker closed with a 3-under 67 to earn a one-stroke victory over defending champion Jason Day in the PGA Championship. Walker produced three big birdies on the back nine and sealed the win with a 3-foot putt for par on 18 after Day eagled the hole. Walker is the fourth first-time winner in as many grand slams this year.
