The Vikings led by 10 after the first quarter and cruised from there. Trey Duffey led the way with 24 points. 5A state is at the Kansas Expocentre in Topeka.

A terrific season for T-West ended in a comeback bid that fell short. The Chargers were down 21-6 at halftime and trailed by 19 in the third quarter before a frantic run. A missed shot at the buzzer would have tied the game.

at No. 2 Lawrence Free State

North (10-11) goes for its second upset of the postseason after knocking off No. 7 Manhattan on Thursday.

Other note from 6A West: Wichita South advanced to state by beating Wichita NW and Wichita North. The game vs. North was 92-6. Earlier this season, South beat North 66-3. Combined score from those two games: 158-9.
