Home care and Hospice put on its 14th annual Flint Hills Festival of Wines over the weekend. The event included a Dinner and Live Auction on Friday, and two separate tastings on Saturday, followed by a Silent Auction. Christina Nolte, Home Care and Hospice Director of Development, calls the event a great success.
The Grand Tasting on Saturday featured over 200 different wines and spirits available for tasting, while a private tasting room featured 9 highly rated wines, a champagne, a well aged single malt scotch, and a cognac.
According to Nolte, Friday’s Live Auction brought in close to $20,000 which is nearly $5,000 more than the annual average.
The private tasting room was sponsored by Nespor’s Wine and Spirits and Catered by Four Olives. All of the hors d’oeuvres , wine, spirits, and Cognac served in the private room were not available on Friday, or during Saturday’s Grand Tasting events.
