A day after being named to the watch list for the Doak Walker Award, K-State senior running back John Hubert has been put up for the Walter Camp Award. Collin Klein was a finalist for the Walter Camp last season, which is given to the best player in college football. Hubert ranked fourth in the Big 12 in rushing at 947 yards on 189 carries in 2012, while he had 15 rushing touchdowns. He’s also been nominated for the Maxwell Award.
K-State opens up the season in just six weeks on Friday, August 30th against 2012 FCS national champion North Dakota State with a 7:30pm kickoff at Bill Snyder Family Stadium.
