“This thing’s got more gray hair than I do”. That statement was made by Riley County District Court Chief Judge, Meryl Wilson during a case scheduled for arraignment Monday afternoon. Wilson was speaking in reference to the case being set for several different dates and not moving forward.
Attorney, Tom Addair stated he thought he would have a plea deal in the case of Christopher Hudgins to present to the court, but it is not yet ready. Wilson expressed frustration as he was told during the last court date that it would be done.
However, Wilson set the matter for June 1st at 2:30 p.m. This is the third time the arraignment date has been moved.
Hudgins is charged with attempted aggravated robbery, conspiracy to commit aggravated robbery, and contributing to a child’s misconduct. These charges follow a home invasion case where Hudgins suffered a gunshot wound to the face.
