Congressman Tim Huelskamp conducted a Town Hall meeting Tuesday in Pottawatomie County.
Huelskamp discussed a wide variety of topics ranging from marriage, pro-life topics and Food Stamp reform. Pottawatomie County residents also discussed immigration and amnesty.
Prior to the Town Hall, the Congressman also toured two manufacturing businesses with long histories in northeast Kansas, and held a Q&A with students at Wamego High School.
Rep. Huelskamp released the following statement:
“I hear from Kansans worried about the massive growth of government – a government that too often puts Wall Street and special interests before Main Street businesses like those I visited, and the farmers and ranchers that America needs to thrive.
Kansans of all ages know government has gotten too big – Will Clark’s Wamego High School class gasped at the size of the national debt. And entrepreneurs like Doug Routh of R-TECH Tool & Machine aren’t looking for handouts – they just want less government in their lives.
It is important to host Town Halls like the one in St. Marys so I can hear first-hand the concerns of Kansans and take them back to Washington.”
The Town Hall in Pottawatomie County is the Congressman’s 284th Town Hall while in office.
