Another guard from the junior college ranks has been added to the K-State women’s basketball roster. New Wildcat head coach Jeff Mittie signed 5-foot-8 shooting guard Deborah Meeks of three-time defending national JuCO champion Trinity Valley Community College in Fort Worth, Texas. Meeks averaged 9.6 points and 2.7 assists per game, and was named to the national all-tournament team.
Meeks spent two seasons at the University of Washington before transferring to Trinity Valley. She redshirted her first year with the Huskies due to an ACL injury during her senior season of high school, and played in just two games the next season after returning from another injury.
K-State signed State Fair Community College point guard Antoinette Taylor on Tuesday. She and Meeks will join Bri Craig in the Cats’ junior class for the 2014-15 season.
