K-State’s Dean of the College of Veterinary Medicine is stepping down. Dean Tammy Beckham announced to Vet Med students, faculty, staff, and alumni on Thursday her intention to accept a position with the Department of Defense in its Cooperative Biological Engagement Program. Beckham indicates the new position would allow her the opportunity to remain on K-State’s faculty, but she would be detailed through the DOD through an Intergovernmental Personnel Appointment.
Beckham has served as Dean of the College of Veterinary Medicine for two years. She will be stepping down as Dean on August 31st.
