An event that was years in the making by a large number of people finally came to fruition on Friday night as the new K-State basketball practice facility was dedicated in a private ceremony. The $17.6 million facility broke ground in March 2011, and will house both the men’s and women’s basketball teams. The state-of-the-art building spans 50,000 square feet with court space for both teams, locker rooms, coaches’ offices, players’ lounges, and an expansive training room. Both teams plan to move into the facility within the next week, and players and coaches will have access to the facility 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
