K-State Gets Purdue in Maui

K-State will take on Purdue in their opening game of the 2014 Maui Invitational on November 24th at 1:30 P.M. on ESPN2.

Bruce Weber was an assistant for 18 years under Gene Keady at Purdue from 1980-98 and was 7-11 against the Boilermakers during his time at Illinois.

Purdue finished just 15-17 and 5-13 in the Big Ten last season. They return four players that started at least 15 games last season and add two top-100 recruits in Isaac Haas and Vince Edward.

The other game in K-State’s half of the bracket is Missouri against Arizona. Pittsburgh, Chaminade, BYU and San Diego State are also in the field. See the full bracket here.

K-State is 2-3 all-time at the Maui Invitational, making trips in 1985 and 1998.
