An estimated 3,000 fans turned out at Bill Snyder Family Stadium late Saturday afternoon for Kansas State Football’s annual Fan Appreciation Day and the fans’ first look at the team prior to the start of the 2014 season.

The team practiced for an hour in front of the fans and then heard several speakers including, head coach Bill Snyder, Voice of the Wildcats Wyatt Thompson and several captains including B.J. Finney, Tyler Lockett, Ryan Mueller, Curry Sexton and Jake Waters.

Following the short speeches, the fans were allowed on to the playing field to get autographs. Snyder signed his autographs right at the 50-yard line and his line stretched all the way to the corner of the south end zone. Lockett had the longest line among the players.

K-State will kick off the 2014 season on August 30 in Manhattan against Stephen F. Austin. Kickoff is set for 6:10 p.m. with Powercat Gameday kicking off the pre-game coverage at 2 p.m.
