Thomas Gipson scored 14 points and Nino Williams added 11 but it was not enough for Kansas State to overcome Oklahoma State as the Cowboys defeated the Wildcats 61-47 Saturday afternoon at Gallagher-Iba Arena in Stillwater.
K-State led 29-27 at halftime but was held to 18 second half points as the Cowboys continued their dominance over K-State in Stillwater. The Wildcats have just one win at Gallagher-Iba Arena since 1993.
Tyree Griffin led four OSU players in double figures with 20 points, Le’Bryan Nash had 11 and Jeff Newberry and Anthony Hickey contributed 10 apiece.
Kansas State (7-7, 0-1) has now lost three straight games and will return to Bramlage Coliseum on Wednesday for their Big 12 home opener against TCU. Tipoff is set for 7 p.m.
