THE MATCHUP: No. 19 Kansas State faces its first true test of 2017 when the 2-0 Wildcats take on unbeaten Vanderbilt in Nashville, Tenn. Kickoff is set for 6:30 p.m. CT.
THE VENUE: Vanderbilt Stadium (40,550). A small stadium by FBS standards and the smallest in the SEC. The game is sold out, and K-State officials believe there could be more than 15,000 Wildcat fans in attendance.
THE SERIES: Vanderbilt leads 1-0. The Commodores won the only meeting, which took place in Nashville in 1984.
THE ODDS: K-State is favored by 4 points and the over/under is 149, meaning Vegas predicts a final score in the range of 27-23.
THE X-FACTOR: Vanderbilt quarterback Kyle Shurmer is off to a terrific start this season, leading the country in QBR. He has seven touchdown passes and zero interceptions after two games. K-State will have to disrupt his rhythm to win this one. The Wildcats have struggled with their pass rush so far.
HOW TO WATCH/LISTEN/FOLLOW: The game will be televised by ESPNU. As always, radio coverage is available on KMAN (93.3 FM/1350 AM) and K-ROCK (101.5 FM). Live tweets of the action, as well as complete postgame coverage, can be found here and here.
