Wamego is participating in the 4A Regional Wrestling Tournament at Abilene and many wrestlers are still very much alive in making the state tournament next week. Dylan Bloom (106 lbs) lost in the quarterfinals but is capable of still making a run to the top four. Dalton Carley (120 lbs) lost in the quarterfinals but still has a chance, he would need to win three straight matches. Elijah Darey lost in the first round but still has a chance on the consolation side. Kyle Wilson (132 lbs) won his first three matches to make the championship, and he will wrestle Seth Strauss of Abilene for first place. Alec Pierson (138 lbs) lost in the first round but was able to win his second match and is still alive on the consolation side of the bracket. Braylon Simonsson (145 lbs) lost his first round match but won his second and is still alive. Dylan Campbell (152 lbs) won his first round match but lost his second match to push him to the consolation side, but he is still very much alive. Shawn Burns (182 lbs) won his first round match but lost his second and is still alive on the consolation side. Kasey Feyh (195 lbs) lost his first round match, he received a bye and awaits for his first match on the consolation side. Paul Hartwich (285 lbs) had a bye in the first round, he lost in the second round which pushed him to the consolation side of the bracket but he is still alive.

Dallas Nold (106 lbs) lost his first round match, he won his second and now will wrestle Dylan Bloom from Wamego for a chance to march on. Zack Hart (113 lbs) lost his first round match and now will wrestle on the consolation side but is still very much alive. Randall Thomas (120 lbs) won his first round match, then lost his second round match and now will wrestle on the consolation side of the bracket. Marc Reiss (126 lbs) has dominated by winning his first three matches to make it to the championship, he will wrestle Dustin Reed of Colby for first place. Zac Rieck (132 lbs) lost his first round match and will wrestle on the consolation side of the bracket, but is still very much alive. AJ Burenheide won his first round match, lost his second round match and will wrestle Alec Pierson of Wamego on the consolation side of the bracket. Chase Ridder (145 lbs) won his first two matches, but lost in the semi finals and only needs to win his next match to qualify for state. Wyatt Fouts (152 lbs) lost his first round match and will wrestle Dylan Campbell of Wamego on the consolation side of the bracket. JT Weers (160 lbs) won his first round match but lost his second round match. He will wrestle on the consolation side but needs to win three matches in a row to make state. Brandon Goehring (170 lbs) got to the second round but lost, and now will wrestle on the consolation side of the bracket. Justin Ward (182 lbs) had a first round bye, but he lost his first match and now will wrestle on the consolation side and will need to win his next two matches to make state. Spencer Bowers (195 lbs) won his first round match and lost his second round match. He needs to win three straight in order to make state. Jesse Correll (220 lbs) made it all the way to the semi finals and lost, but needs to win his next match to qualify for state.
Riley County is participating in the 3-2-1A Regional Wrestling Tournament at Onaga. Colton Hazlett (106 lbs) won his first round match and lost his second. He must win his next two matches to make state. Chris Truesdale (126 lbs) made it to the semi finals and lost, but only needs one win to qualify for state. Tommy Truesdale (132 lbs) won his first round match but lost his second. He is now wrestling on the consolation side of the bracket and needs to win three straight matches to qualify for state. Sawyer Havenstein (138 lbs) won his first match but lost his second, he must win his next three matches to qualify for state. Brandon Swartz (145 lbs) lost his first round match but won his second and is still very much alive. Tucker Cales (152 lbs) lost his first round match and needs to win three straight to qualify for state. Knute Nelson (160 lbs) lost his first round match and needs to win three straight on the consolation side of the bracket. Gavin Grater (182 lbs) has coasted into the finals and will wrestle Levi Huneke of Sabetha for first place. Josh Brazzle received a first round bye and was able to make the semi final round, he lost but is still just one win away from qualifying for state. Daniel Ruch (285 lbs) lost his first round match and needs to win his next match to make the state tournament.
