Starting on Thursday in Salina, and concluding on Saturday the K-State class of Spring 2013 is stepping across the stage, and onto the next step in their lives.
On Friday Kansas Board of Regents representative Christine Downey-Schmidt charged the new graduates to not only be successful in their careers, but also give back to the community. Commencement speaker and retired CEO of Cargill Incorporated, Warren Staley told the graduates to also assume leadership roles. Staley says doing so will enrich their lives as they go forward into their careers.
The graduating class of Spring 2013 will receive special diplomas commemorating Kansas State University’s 150th anniversary. They will join the nearly 200,000 alumni of Kansas State University.
