The Kansas Department of Transportation has announced their March bids, and a large Riley County project is on the list of approved projects.
The construction will improve the north junction of Highway U.S. 24 and K-13 south to east junction of U.S. 24 and K-177. This will be a milling and overlay project for 5.6 miles of roadway.
Shilling Construction and Asphalt, out of Manhattan, will complete the work. The price estimate for the project is $5,093,570.75.
