Two seperate cases involving the same Manhattan man were brought before Riley County District court on Monday morning as he faces five felony charges, and one misdemeanor.
30-year-old Jerred Snyder is accused of several major crimes including kidnapping, aggravated robbery, and possession of stolen property from an incident prosecutors say occurred on April 6, 2014. Authorities say Snyder forced Richard Rothfuss to drive him to another location at gunpoint. According to police Snyder proceeded to tie Rothfuss up with a tow rope before aquiring his ATM card information, and driving away with Rothfuss’s 2014 Chevy Silveraldo
Snyder faces charges for alleged incidents from earlier in the year including falsification of pawn documents, and theft.
Snyder’s next hearing is set for a motions on June 23, 2014. With the jury trial scheduled commence on 2, September at 1pm in Riley county court.
