K-State cornerback Kip Daily is the Big 12 defensive player of the week after intercepting two UMASS passes on Saturday and taking one back 38 yards for a touchdown.
The interceptions were the first two of Daily’s career, and this is his first Big 12 honor. Daily, a senior who has cracked the starting lineup, also had three tackles against the minutemen. He has the first multi-interception game for a Wildcat since Allen Chapman had three interceptions against Oklahoma State last season.
K-State takes on Texas at 7:00 on Saturday in Austin for both teams Big 12 opener. Powercat Gameday starts at 3:00 live from The Hula Hut in Austin.
