Kansas State University, along with the other Kansas Board of Regents schools, has requested a four-year exemption from allowing the concealed carry of weapons on campus. In accordance with House Bill No. 2052, Kansas State University will be included in the four-year exemption.
K-State’s assistant vice president for public safety Ronnie Grice says this exemption will allow the adequate time to look at all aspects of how the new law impacts the university.
The university has signs where weapons are prohibited.
The university’s general weapons policy also will remain unchanged during this four-year period.
