One of the people facing charges after the car chase in Pottawatomie County, earlier this month, appeared in court Tuesday.
As KMAN has previously reported, the chase began after a traffic stop by a Pottawatomie County sheriff’s deputy on the Oregon Trail Road, about three miles west of St. Mary’s. The deputy learned at least one of the two occupants had an arrest warrant out of Missouri, but while obtaining this information, the vehicle fled.
Jason Gillispie (30), of Higbee, Missouri, was the passenger in the vehicle. Attorney, Sherri Schuck indicates a plea was entered to obstruction and possession of marijuana. Gillispie was sentenced to 12 month, but was granted probation from that sentence for a period of 12 months.
