Starting on Saturday, and running throughout the weekend, the Manhattan Area Garden Show presented classes from local organizations and businesses to help folks with their green thumb.
Some of the highlights included a “Whodunit” event hosted by the Riley County Extension office. The exhibit presented prizes to those who could figure out the varmint signs in the ground, and ruined plants. Master Gardner President Penny Sturr kept a watchful eye over the event, and gave this reporter a failing grade as I only identified 50% of the vermin.
Riley County extension agent Gregg Eyestone said the event had a great turn out, and appreciated all of those who worked to make it a success.
