A Wisconsin man faces several charges following an incident involving law enforcement officials in Junction City this past Friday.
Michael Hall made first appearance Monday in Geary county District Court. His bond was set at 250-thousand dollars.
Hall faces several charges including attempted murder, two counts of aggravated assault on a law enforcement officer, two counts of obstructing the legal process, fleeing and eluding, criminal in possession of a firearm, and two counts of aggravated endangering of a child.
Hall’s arrest followed a police chase and subsequent manhunt Friday. It all began late Friday morning when a Geary County Sheriff’s Deputy attempted to make a stop on a vehicle on the south side of Junction City in connection with several traffic violations.
A pursuit followed and the driver eventually abandoned the vehicle. Shots were allegedly exchanged between Hall and the Deputy and the Hall fled the area.
A foot chase followed and the suspect was shot in the leg by a Detective after he attempted to grab the officer’s weapon.
The KBI is reportedly the lead investigative agency
As we reported earlier, more details have been released by the Junction City Police and the Geary County Sheriff’s Department.
At about 11 Friday morning, a Geary County Sheriff’s Deputy attempted to make a stop on a vehicle on the south side of Junction City in connection with several traffic violations.
A pursuit ensued and the driver eventually abandoned the vehicle on Lockstone Court.
Shots were allegedly exchanged between the suspect and the Deputy and the suspect fled the area.
Junction City Police a short time later located a man they believed to be the driver of the vehicle at the Knight’s Inn, located at 1024 S. Washington.
A foot chase ensued and the suspect was shot in the leg by a Detective after he attempted to grab the officer’s weapon.
The suspect, who has not yet been positively identified, is being treated in Junction City at Geary Community Hospital.
The KBI has been called into the case to investigate the incident. The names of the Deputy and the Police Detective involved being released at this time.

Earlier today, word came out that a manhunt began in Junction City after suspects fled from police.
Not much is known at this time, but sources do say that shots were fired during the altercation.
