Executive Director of Military and Veterans Affairs, Art DeGroat says the university will honor the 42 K-State students who died serving during the Vietnam War. The entire community is invited to attend this Memorial Day rememberance ceremony, which starts at 2 p.m. on Monday, May 25th in front of the Vietnam Veteran’s Memorial. This memorial is located on the southeast side of campus, directly east of the All Faiths Chapel.
This ceremony will include motorcycle riders and remarks from campus and community veterans. The 5th Squadron 4th Cavalry Regiment will post the colors and Vietnam veteran Tom Fryer will read the names of the 42 veterans who lost their lives during the Vietnam War.
KMAN will be on-site at the event honoring the fallen as well.
