The Manhattan High girl’s basketball team locked up the #1 seed in Sub State with a 71-21 win over Junction City on Tuesday night. The executed on both ends of the floor hitting 54% of their shots from the floor in the ball game and also forced Junction City into 21 turnovers.
Darby Price led the way for MHS (16-1, 10-0) with 15 points while Caroline Ballard added 14 points for the Indians who have now won 14 straight games since losing their lone game of the season back in December.
The Manhattan High boys basketball team put together their best offensive outing of the season with a 94-65 win over Junction City. The Indians shot 61% from the field in the game, hitting nine three ball’s and also 24 of 31 from the free throw line.
Two Indian’s set career highs with Pierson McAtee scoring 25 points and Chris Martin adding 19 for MHS (11-6, 6-4). The Indians hit the road one final time in the regular season on Friday night at Highland Park. The girl’s game will be joined in progress on KMAN after the conclusion of Kansas State baseball.
