MHS Wrestling 2nd at Centennial League Meet

Jase Stone and Dallas Vesta brought home individual titles, but host Junction City was too much for Manhattan High to overcome at the Centennial League Wrestling meet on Saturday.  The Blue Jays scored 199.5 points for first place, the Tribe were in second with 151 points, and Seaman was a half point behind in third.  Emporia and Washburn Rural rounded out the top five. The 113-pound Stone beat Khamin Crow of Seaman 11-4 in the finals, and the 126-pound Vesta pinned Marcus Reese of Topeka High for his title.  Kian Clemens, Davis Matthews, Austin Chauncey, and Michael Leeper all finished as Centennial League runner-up.

Manhattan High will wrestle this Saturday back at Junction City in the 6A regionals this Saturday.  SportsRadio 1350 KMAN will have reports throught the day.
