Update: The jury trial for a former Fort Riley soldier charged with the death of a Kansas National Guardsman has been delayed in Riley County district court for a couple of months. A spokeswoman indicates the Daniel Parker trial, which was to have started with jury selection Monday, was continued to August 19th due to unforeseen circumstances. Parker is charged with the first degree murder of 21 year old Frederick Beverly on January first of 2012, outside a local motorcycle group’s clubhouse.
