The 17-year career of K-State men’s golf coach Tim Norris came to end on Saturday when senior Daniel Wood shot a three-under par 69 in Columbia, Missouri at the NCAA Regionals.
Norris announced his retirement before the season, and K-State named his replacement on Sunday, 15-year coaching veteran Grant Robbins.
The 2012 Conference USA coach of the year led his alma mater, Memphis for the past 11 seasons, earning five regional bids, including the last four seasons.
Robbins has ties to the area, as his wife Brooke is a Wichita native and a K-State graduate.
