Number of Area HS Standouts to Sign

A pair of four-year starting quarterbacks will ink their national letters-of-intent on Wednesday on national signing day.  Bryce Chavis starred under center for Riley County and will take his skills to the next level at Butler Community College.  Marshall Wethington battled injuries, but was the man at Wamego since his freshman year, and will sign with Ottawa University.

Three other Red Raiders will play college football; Daniel Jensen at Butler CC, Dakota Turner at Coffeyville Community Colge, and Brandon Ebert at Kansas Wesleyan.  Ebert will be joined at Kansas Wesleyan by Rock Creek’s Colton Leikam and Jimmie Goodmiller.

Five Manhattan High standouts will continue their careers in college.  Gabe Caldas and Wyatt Charlson are headed for Fort Scott Community College, Devin Cossman and Chance Drake are going to Garden City Community College, and Michael Max is bound for McPherson College.
