The City of Manhattan will lose an official within the City Manager’s Office later this month.
Assistant City Manager Lauren Palmer will resign effective May 22nd. Palmer has accepted the position as City Administrator for the City of Parkville, Missouri.
Palmer has served Manhattan since 2008 as an Assistant City Manager and says she is excited to hold a chief administrative position in Parkville.
In a statement on Friday, City Manager Ron Fehr says Palmer played an instrumental role in working with various agencies and businesses to foster the city’s economic development activities and he wishes her well as she and her husband move closer to family.
