Two Kansas Department of Corrections inmates are up for public comment sessions and parole hearings beginning in August.
Keith Brown, 56, was convicted in Geary County in 1991 on charges of aggravated burglary, rape, and aggravated robbery. Brown most recently has been housed at the El Dorado Correctional Facility.
Alex Mackey, 55, was convicted in 1983 on a theft charge in Geary County, although faces more serious convictions of aggravated robbery and burglary and drug-related counts in Sedgwick, Finney, and Atchison counties. Mackey is currently at the Hutchinson Correctional Facility.
Public comment sessions are set for August 13th at the Finney State Office Building in Wichita, August 18th at City Hall in Kansas City, and August 22nd at the Muncipal Court House in Topeka. Written comments can also be sent to the Department of Corrections in Topeka.
