Riley County Police have released a picture of a possible subject wanted for questioning regarding fraudulent currency. Earlier this week RCPD warned community members of a potential fraudulent US currency scam involving counterfeit bills.
As earlier reported, on Tuesday, officers responded to several reports regarding fraudulent currency at businesses in the Manhattan area which included Pizza Hut (both the Moro Street and Hosteler Drive locations), Little Caesars, Dollar Tree, and Baskin Robins.
Riley County Police Director Brad Schoen announced on KMAN Friday morning that Junction City and Salina officials have also reported problems with the phony bills.
Officers are still investigating the matter and encourage anyone with information on these counterfeit $100 bills to contact police or the Manhattan Riley County Crimestoppers.
