Police Report 11/8/13

RCPDThe Riley County Police Department made an early morning arrest Thursday.

Raymond Keeton, 22, of Ocean Springs, Mississippi was arrested for failure to appear warrant.

Keeton was being held on a $5,000 bond.


The Riley County Police Department responded on Thursday to a complaint of criminal damage to property in the 5200 block of Colbert Hills Drive in Manhattan for an incident that occurred in October of this year.

Stewart Briggeman, 59, of Pratt, Kansas reported that his 2008 Mercedes-Benz was significantly scratched while golfing in the area.

The total estimated loss in this case is about $3,500 and currently the suspects are unknown.

The Riley County Police Department arrested a Wamego man for endangering a child at the felony level.

Brian Havens, 34, of Wamego, was arrested for endangering four children under the age of 12. Their information is being withheld.

Havens was being held on a $5,000 bond.

The investigation continues.


A Manhattan man was arrested by the Riley County Police on a couple of charges.

Studd Leach, 38, was arrested Thursday night for parole violation and failure to appear warrants.

His bond was set for $16,719.


The Riley County Police responded to a disturbance Friday morning at about 1:20 in the Aggieville Business District.

Upon arrival, police found the victim, Robert Weixelman, 33, of Manhattan, had been struck several times during a physical altercation.

The suspect, Montez Robertson, 21, allegedly also caused severe damage to Weixelman’s leg when he stomped on it while Weixelman was on the ground.

Weixelman was transported to Mercy Regional health center for treatment.

Currently no arrests have been made as Robertson fled the scene prior to police arrival.
