A simple traffic stop led Riley County Police to discover the man had two other warrants.
When Officers pulled over Tyrone Shorter,22, of Manhattan for a traffic violation, they asked him about two out of jurisdiction auto theft warrants, which originated from Chicago, Illinois. Upon contact, Shorter attempted to evade police and resist arrest.
Shorter was taken into custody and is currently being held at Riley County Jail on a $50,150.00 bond.
Riley County Police arrested Jacqueline Heaslet,21, on Thursday evening at approximately 10:30 in the 400 block of 9th Street in Ogden.
The warrant included the offenses of distribution of morphine within 1,000 feet of school property, conspiracy to distribute morphine, and distribution of morphine.
She is confined in Riley County Jail on a $10,000.00.
