The Pottawatomie County Sheriff’s Department reports several recent drug search warrants and arrests, with the latest this past Friday.
Three individuals were taken into custody following execution of a search warrant in St. Mary’s, including Lacey Peters, 26 and Kevin Gordon, 35, both of St. Mary’s, andStuart Ostrom 24, whose address is unknown. While charges against the three vary a bit, all involve the alleged distribution of methamphetamine within one-thousand feet of a school. The St Mary’s police department was also involved in the search warrant and arrests.
Other recent search warrants include one the end of August with Wamego Police and the arrest of Michael Ippert, 28, on marijuana and meth related possession charges. And on September 13th, three people were arrested in St. George on charges including marijuana possession.
The Pottawatomie County sheriff’s Department is investigating the theft of a 1997 Harley Davidson Wide glide motorcycle from a Flush Road address in rural St. George. The motorcyle is painted a color that changes with lithtin and has an expired Kansas Licence plate of 48ADL. The value is estimated at $8,000. The theft reportedly occurred Saturday.
Other recent thefts include a John Deer riding mower from KanEquipm on highway 24 in Wamego. The theft is believed to have occurred between September 21st and 24th. A trailer believed to be stolen at the same time has been recovered in Silver Lake. The trialer may have been used in the theft of the mower, valued at $1,000.
And a residential burglary to a residence in the eight-thousand block of Juniette Road of rual Manhattan was reported September 26th. Several electronic type items were taken from vehicles, with a total loss of more than $1,000.
