(AP) A Culvert Replacement project will close K-31 4 miles east of the K-99 junction in Wabaunsee County starting on Monday. Both Eastbound and Westbound K-31 will be closed to all through traffic from the west city limits of Harveyville west to the K-99 junction.
Work will take place Monday through Friday during the daylight hours, with some occasional Saturday work expected.
A marked detour will be provided. Westbound traffic will detour on K-31 east to Burlingame, then south on US-56/K-31 to the US-56/K-31 junction north of Osage City, then west on US-56 to the K-99 junction just north of Admire, then north on K-99 back to K-31. Eastbound traffic will detour on southbound K-99 to the US-56 junction just north of Admire, then east on US-56 to the US-56/K-31 junction just north of Osage City, then north on US-56 to Burlingame, then west on K-31 to Harveyville. Delays are expected and drivers must use alternate routes during the closure.
The work is expected to be complete in November.
