Riley County Police indicate a report of theft was filed in the 2800 block of Nelson’s Landing in Manhattan on Sunday at approximately 9:10 AM. Tony Dugan, 34, of Leonardville reported a burnt orange 2005 Pontiac G6 was taken from in front of a friend’s home.
The vehicle was left unsecured and with keys in the ignition. The total estimated loss is approximately $5,000 and currently no arrests have been made. Those with information about this crime are asked to contact RCPD or the Manhattan Riley County Crime Stoppers.

Riley County Police filed a criminal damage to property report in the 900 block of Claflin Road late Sunday morning. 21-year-olds Brooke Bengal, Karsen Brown, and Danielle Stewart,and Amber Brooks, 23, all of Manhattan were listed as the victims of this damage after an unknown subject or subjects damaged the driver’s side mirrors on 4 different vehicles parked in the area.
The total estimated loss is approximately $1,000 and currently no arrests have been made or citations issued.

A sexual exploitation of a child report was filed in the city limits of Manhattan early Monday morning. Riley County Police found that a 14-year-old female victim was contacted by an unknown subject or subjects who attempted to persuade the juvenile to perform sexual acts via webcam. There also was reportedly a a threat to post inappropriate photographs online.

Two arrests are listed on weekend reports from Riley County police with substantial bond amounts. Christopher Schurle, 50, of Marysville was taken into custody Sunday afternoon just before five, with charges listed as driver’s license cancelled, suspended or revoked, DUI, and habitual violator.Bond was set at $7,000.
And 25 year old Nicholas Lillich of Alta Vista’s bond was set at $6,000 dollars for DUI and refusal of a chemical test. Lillich was arrested Sunday just before four a.m.
